Fred Mills
Fred Mills, professor of music, was a trumpet player of 24 years with the Canadian Brass quintet. He also played in several orchestras. Natives in Canada has the world as a trumpeter. He attended the Juilliard School of Music in New York. Before graduation got his first job offer. Founding member of 'American Symphony Orchestra of New York. He was also invited to attend the Houston Symphony Orchestra in Texas, as a solo trumpet. Together with the Canadian Brass, Mr. Mills recorded over 40 albums. He was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1992. Mills joined the faculty at the University of Georgia in 1996. With a cartridge purchased from a street vendor, began his studies of brass.
